This forum rules. Great stuff! So, let me get this straight, I should uninstall the 2 ICS cabs that I have on my stock VZN and install the hotfix? At that point, when I connect with the USB, I will get the third option of "internet sharing" and be undectable? Thanks for clarifying!

so is there any way to get this off my bill or am i stuck....like say i just pluged my phone into computer and didnt know it was doing anything....like pay it right dumb, think i can do it?

edit* what i did was call in and play right dumb telling them i dont know what it was that caused it and that i wasnt going to pay it and she removed it from my account!! lol i even got her to take off the $25 equipment exchange fee !!!!! lol thanks telus....plus she told me that i have unlimited data plan so it wouldnt have shown on next bill and even if it did i could call and have it removed!!

I have the tp2 / mmr (have not updated to the latest version yet, will do after this post) I have the $15 unlimited data plan and been with telus since 2000.

Looks i am ok for now, but wondering if this will change without notice at some point.

This shows the last 30 days (2.2gb) YIKES!

i just saw this thread and ran to my sprint bill which was release 3 days ago, but i opened it and no tethering charges. Once again Sprint wins!

So, is tethering by HTC (CM's) WifiRouter safer vs. USB ICS tethering?

I have Sprint, so no problems either way (for now), but I did notice that I get Error 67 if I don't initiate a data connection Before running ICS. But no such issues with HTC WifiRouter.

So this only affect those using cook ROM.

I used tethering last month while traveling a lot and sprint bill showed i used 4.9gb(right under 5gb cap) - no tethering charges though but i always used wmwifirouter to connect. After reading this i tried to connect direct and to my suprise it seem to have worked i didnt get the error 67 error, although i disconected right away just to be on safe side. Im on Juicy R2
