I am able to use it for a few phone calls, then I go do something else and when I come back, bluetooth no longer works. Pull the battery and restart - still doesn't work most of the time. The devices are definitely paired correctly because they work for a few phone calls. I am able to see all of my bluetooth devices in the trusted device list.

Many thanks!
I would also like to know this workaround as the "no hangup" issue is one of the most annoying of the bugs.

Re: Poll: Does the current Widcomm Bluetooth stack work for you

FIXES EVERYTHING BUT voice command so far

Understand that this autodisconnects your data after a certain idle time

I set mine to do this after 2-5 hours since I don't actually want it to auto disconnect

IN OTHER WORDS, A PERMANENT SOLUTION THIS IS NOT

HERE IS THE FIX

Easiest way is to open Advanced Configuration 3.3 (or newest version)

Go to the bottom right softkey

Option "more settings" -> "connections"

then check the box for disconnect after

set to time you wish

or if you are comfortable with registry editing

The following settings work for me:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\ConnMgr\Planner\Settings]
Set SuspendResume to multi_sz:"GPRS_bye_if_device_off"
Set CacheTime to 60 (this is 60 seconds. 3600 is one hour)
Set VPNCacheTime to 60

Does this solution have a side effect of killing your data connection when browsing and sitting on a screen for > 60 seconds?

D.

Re: Poll: Does the current Widcomm Bluetooth stack work for you

I'll give this a try but my problem is not hanging up - my problem is making a call. It will beep the headset when the call starts, waits about 15 very annoying seconds while the other person goes "hello? hello?" and then switches back to the handset. Sometimes it works, 80% of the time, the headset (tried 6 headsets, two handsets) doesn't work. Has anyone else had any problems like this?

When my phone is on the Parrot 6100. it will connect first through handsfree and then hang up. The next call will be disconnected from Parrot. Not sure if this is your problem.

I have other problems with other BT devices - common to all except for my Moto S9HD's is that they do not hang up call unless from hand set. Most others have no remote volume control as well.

Cool Re: Poll: Does the current Widcomm Bluetooth stack work for you

also, forgot to mention but it looks like 70% of respondents so far have noted Widcomm to be buggy. Still trying to figure out how this is superior to the MS Bluetooth stack...

Re: Poll: Does the current Widcomm Bluetooth stack work for you

Not sure how to do this but perhaps a moderator can post a sticky so that bluetooth issues can start getting some attention. Three out of four people find the TP2 bluetooth to be buggy. Would be nice if we could start working with HTC, carriers and our ROM developers to find fixes for the problems as a group.

Re: Poll: Does the current Widcomm Bluetooth stack work for you

Having huge issues with the Widcomm BT stack here. Just bought a Jabra 6470 and am having issues with outgoing voice quality as well as it disconecting from the base requiring me to pull and reinsert the power-cord to the Jabra headset base.

Verizon support doesn't seem to want to do anything to address it and I'm consindering changing handsets due to it.

Re: Poll: Does the current Widcomm Bluetooth stack work for you

Most Jabra bt headsets have bad sound quality, I even tried the newest one which was Jabra Stone, it still did not improve anything. I had many complaints about the ambient noise and choppy sound quality and many people could not understand or hear clearly. I'd stay away from Jabra.
