Re: now that u had some time was it wortht he $350 upgrade

Considering it was the best phone I could get on my Sprint SERO 500 plan ($30/mo + taxes & fees ) it was definitely worth it. I didn't get as substantial a discount as other people who have posted here (I ended paying $280 after taxes and rebates). My previous phone was a Palm Centro, and I love having a full html browser and such a huge screen on the TP2. I used to have to carry around my Centro and an Ipod Touch to listen to music and watch movies on the train, but now I just need my TP2. With Coreplayer the TP2 can play xvid files flawlessly without having to convert them like my Ipod Touch. The higher resolution makes the viewing experience that much better. Obviously I would have much rather had a HTC HD2, but I am still happy despite the relatively high price tag of the TP2.

Re: now that u had some time was it wortht he $350 upgrade

i got mine for $199... i would have paid less if i sold my tp but i gave it to my girlfriend..

over all i think its a nice move up... i like the screen, i like the speakers..... yeah its missing the flash and it does have the same processor but i feel like its a better phone.

now if and when the Leo comes to the states i will jump on that... if nothing better comes out here by then.... lets see

its crazy cause i grab my old TP and then use my tp2 and im like wow!!! what a diff..

Re: now that u had some time was it wortht he $350 upgrade

I didn't have much issue with my TP1 but always want the latest phones. If I had to pay $350 then I wouldn't have upgraded. But I got it for $149 and hoping to still get my $100 MIR ending total cost of about $50...then yea it was worth the upgrade. I do miss my flashlight though on my TP1 (I used it a lot), and pic quality was slightly better on the TP1. But I'm almost over it..lol.

Re: now that u had some time was it wortht he $350 upgrade

Considering what Sprint nailed everyone for with the TP2, my next phone upgrade is on "hold" until: 4G; Haptic feedback; Screen size of Leo without keyboard; 1Ghz Cpu. Anything less would be a waste of money, especially if I'm going to pay $350+ renew a 2 year contract.

Would it have been worth $350, idk. Maybe if you have that kind of money. Now was it worth the $200 I paid, HELLS YES

Re: now that u had some time was it wortht he $350 upgrade

From day one hands down the best smartphone I've ever owned or used. Although we did pick up a Hero today for my wife and I've got to say it's pretty close!!! But no keyboard

Funny you should say that. The girl in the Telus store said the exact same thing today "She'd heard about a Hero with a keyboard". Meanwhile the Moto Droid looks pretty sweet but we won't see that here until Q1 2010.
