Sprint stuck with slow EVDO, 1x?

Hmm...my Sprint TP 2 WM6.1 has been stuck in 1x since this morning. Is this a network problem or am I the lucky one?

i only get 300 to 500 and my phone is new and 1 month old, i put the cleanup cab on a stock sprint 6.5

Data speeds depend on a few factors like signal strength and traffic through the tower. 350-500 is about what I get at home (weak signal).

I have a pretty solid signal at home EVDO with it being pretty consistent, not that it matters but I am even in a 4G market, and I average about 550 ish. every time I check it thats pretty much what it hangs around.

at mobilespeedtest.com, if i run the 100kb test, i get average 700
with the 1mb test i average about 1050 or so

of course, i am in arkansas and if i go more than about 30 miles away from the freeway in either direction i lose signal altogether and roam

i wasnt gonna start a thread on it.. but i swear for the last week ive noticed considerable difference.. i tether with a TP2, and different 2 TP1s... and all 3 have been dragging it seems..

today though i used CMIS on my TP2 which i dont normally do, im a wmwifi guy, paid 30 bucks for it might as well use it lol.. But CMIS seemed to work great this afternoon.. ive been back using a TP1 for a feww hours right now and its still dragging...

i thought i was late on my bill or something, cuz its "overdue" time right now if your billing period is in the middle of the month.. i thought sprint was "knee-capping" my data, but i checked, i paid my bill(auto pay) like a week and a half ago..

ill get over it, for now, im just glad to see i wasnt goin nuts lol

I'm here in the SF Bay area and my phone keeps going from roaming to 1x...and same with my wife's BB. Hopefully this just means sprint is busy upgrading to 4G!

I've seen different results with different browsers:

for example with Opera Mini 5 I was getting 7000kbps



With Opera 9.7 around 500-600 kbps
