jj62mtp...thanks for keeping us posted regarding the PRL updates. i for one would not remember to check every now and then to see if it's been updated. button clicked on your first post my friend.

Do hard resets or flashing new ROMS change the PRL? If not, then the problem updating PRL on custom ROMs could be fixed for frequent flashers like me easily. Flash back to stock, update PRL, then flash the new ROM of choice (it is recommended to flash back to stock between roms anyway). Anyone know if this would work?

FYI on the 60660. I looked at the big changes they did to the channel scans and wow what a mess! They have included VZW EVDO channels but of course it won't connect since the subnets are wrong.

Some areas are even worse... say you are in an Sprint EVDO area. It actually scans and hits the VZW channels first, connects, mismatch subnet ID and moves on then finds the Sprint EV channel. Later your phone decideds to scan again and does the same thing.

This sucker is burning up my battery... I can watch it scan all the time in ##DEBUG#. I used to be able to leave work with a 80% battery with normal usage. Now I'm at 50% and I haven't changed a thing except for the PRL.

PRL's are not reset after a hard reset. I flash quite often and it does not change after a flash. And for those that are curious, if your PRL does not update on its own to the one discussed here, it is probably because your network area has not implemented those changes to the current location.

so if i can go to settings>system>update prl, am i capable of being up to date & not need the files posted ? stock .... also should this update automatically ?
