1. yes you can use that tool to update
2. no, thats why that tool is included in stock roms

Not a prob. Been reading up on the white papers of the PRL.

Working on my app to spit the differences between two PRLs. Kinda like my tool I built that compares snapshots of DishNetwork channel tables from the satellite stream I did for Satelliteguys.us... but this one will be MUCH easier!

I must agree with one of the earlier posters - I'm getting noticeably shorter battery life with 60660 and probably no signal benefit. I'm manually going back to 59.

Yes indeed...60660 is horrible with all the mass scanning they have done in this PRL. Kills my battery quickly.

Dial ##PRL#, but in your MSL(search for threads on finding this), then load 60659.

All you need is the PRL file and your MSL.

1. Download and unzip prl file to storage card
2. Dial ##775#
3. Enter your MSL code
4. Select menu then edit
5. Browse to the location you unzipped the prl file to
6. Select the prl file, press ok
7. Press ok again
8. Select yes, phone will restart

Thanks for the info, I succesfully downgraded to 60659 and will see how this goes. Been having some issues with bouncing from 3G to 1G.
