I too have only IntShrUI.exe on my VZW TP2. I can use the stock IntShrUI to connect via USB in Linux. No dowloading custom CABS, no registry hacks. No proxy page, it just works. I'm going to wait a few days to see if I get additional charges.

EDIT: It showed up today on my usage report as 'UNLIMITED MEGABYTE ALLOW' as have all my internet connections using the phone's browser. So far so good!
