TP2 getting hot while charging

I was charging my tp2 last night and when I touched it the phone was hot! I took a call (talked via bluetooth) while it was charging and it got even hotter. Has this happened to anyone else?

pretty much everything that charges gets hot.

I used my phone as a wifi router last night and it was hot but still was charging after a hour!

I had that issue, but I realized I left it sitting on my wii that was left on. Other than that, I have minimal heating issues.

Are you using a third party eBay battery or the stock battery?

I am using the stock battery, and have had no issues with excessive heat, even when wifi tethering and charging. It gets warm, but no where near as hot as my Touch Pro got.

mine too, even got the extended seidio 1750, still gets hot ever so often. still works however.

I use the stock battery. I have had it get warm before during charging, but when I say it got hot last night, I mean hot. lol Today it seems to be fine.

The TP2 seems to have a regulator for heat so when it gets to a certain point it temp stops charging for a few sec-min and charges again so instead of all at once it kinda does it in waves...usually it gets warm but not HOT, if it got HOT maybe something temporarily bugged out in the heat regulating/charging...tech isn't perfect.

im using mighty rom, and my phone gets hot while charging. it never did on the stock rom...... i wonder if the hack for faster charge is included in the rom, and if it is, how do i revert it back to normal?
