I dumped Seidio for Body Glove

I thought it was really crappy that no one had come out with a snap-on case for the Sprint TP2 until recently. My phone now has a dent on the corner because of it. GRRRRR

The first snap-on case I found was made by Body Glove. I bought one and love it more than the Seidio cases. It has an optional belt clip adapter with a stand for desk viewing. Plus the material makes it even easier to hold on to. I recommend it.

http://www.bodyglove.com/store/produ...oduct_id=31616

I am hoping that the clips are more resilent than the Seidio cases'. I always managed to break one and had one piece of the case always falling off. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Will I still be able to tilt the screen with any of these cases?

has em for pretty cheap. Looks like half the price of the OP's link.

Re: I dumped Seidio for Body Glove

it should. i bought an after-market one, the top part just fits over the top, you can still invert your screen. but the guy only had blue and pink, i like black plus it's body glove! i'll post back when i get it.

I also got the Body Glove but I got it from this place. Its 2 bucks more for shipping but I got it in 2 days since they are near NYC.

The case is a little bit bulky on the edges but not a problem since that adds more protection. Although it does leave the entire front unprotected.

Also I ordered the Seido one for the wife's phone, and here is a coupon for 10% off TP2 accessories. Code is HTP210

Make sure its a GSM or CDMA version depending on your phone. Ask me how I know :/

I have the Body Glove, but I wish it wasn't so darn big!

I just ordered this one off eBay...looks like the newest offering. I can't wait to see how it fits...looks very similar in the front to the Body Glove, so hopefully there are no fitment issues.

Re: I dumped Seidio for Body Glove

I went with the BG as well waiting for it to come in. I have always gone with Seidio in the past, they are thin and compact hardly know it is there, but a week after I got my TP2, I picked it up from the cup holder in the vehicle and it slipped out of my hands not even 6" high and hit I guess just right on the plastic of the cup holder and it caused a spiderweb splinter from the side across the screen. Was still usable, just the top layer but ticked me off. So I did the insurance thing and got a new one. But if it is that flimsy on hits, I don't know that the Seidio will protect it. So I am going with the thicker BG case. I have seen them before, my dad had one on his TP1, and it looked nice but boy it thickened the phone up. That is what I dread but I also don't wanna have to file insurance again anytime soon so I guess I will just see where I go from here heh.

What do you guys think of this case for $10? I like that it's specific to Sprint. Anyone buy from this seller/brand before?

I got one similar to this from a different seller. It's okay, kind of thick though. The rubberized coating is nice, has the same feel as the battery cover of the Sprint TP2. The hole is in the right place, as the proximity sensor works. I accidentally knocked my phone off my desk the other day, probably like 2-3 feet off the ground. It hit a hard wood floor, the phone wasn't harmed but there was a small crack on the case...

I agree. I really like the back of the BG, not so much the front.

I left the BG back on mine & replaced the front piece with the front from a clear case setup. Looks good & made the phone a bit smaller also.

I see that the Body Glove faces out when using the clip. This is a disaster for me. I will kill the screen in one day. Is there any ideas to carry it on a belt a different way?

Does anyone have pics of the BG on their phone? I used Seidio on my Titan, and was going to order them again 'til I saw this post, starting to reconsider now.

I have one and it is great for protection. It does increase the size of the phone significantly but the protection is worth it to me. Now I'm looking for a case that I can wear on my belt that the phone with the body glove will fit into. The problem is that most smart phone cases aren't big enough. Anyone know of a case that would work? Thanks!

I have 4-5 belt cases that fit the TP2, but only one will fit the phone with the BG on it (it really makes the phone huge)

I do have a case that was left over from an old xv6800 it fits in, but I don't really like it.

I have ordered the Seidio Innocase, I may well switch to that when I get it for that exact reason

the body glove looks massive! seems like it does what it's supposed to do, but man does it make the phone ugly (my opinion). think i'll just go bare with tp2 since it's already big. hopefully i won't drop it until i'm thinking about getting a new phone..........

Re: I dumped Seidio for Body Glove

It is a bulky case but very functional in that it is comfortable in the hand and makes it very easy to hold without dropping. It seems like it is less apt to break than the Seidio cases. The only thing is that you would probably need to install psShutXP to do reboots.

So who will be the first to do some drop tests heh. Drop from about 6' with the Seidio and then with the Body Glove lol, report back! :) heh j/k!

Some Golla bags are big enough. The problem is that the BG material is so grippy that it doesn't slide in/out of the pouch easily.

I have this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/%2310-Golla-Cube...d=260489373568

I don't use the carabiner, I just use the belt loop. Even with the BG on, I can fit a cleaning cloth and set of earbuds in the zipper pouch, but I think mine is going to end up living in my pocket with the BG.

Boxwave has an aluminum case available now. It doesn't have a cutout for the proximity sensor though. How could they be so oblivious to that fact when making it?

http://www.boxwave.com/products/armo...-pro2_3687.htm

I'm personally leaning towards the Seidio but theres just so many choices coming out now. Maybe something better will come out soon?

I'm in a need of a case + clip like the Bodyglove, that you can make the phone stand at an angle on the clip. Are there any alternatives to Bodyglove; I really don't like how it looks. TIA!

Hehe, I personally will go with the Seidio case. I don't like the size of the BG at all, considering that the Touch Pro 2 is a nice and hefty device as it is. So if you dropped it from hip height onto a hard floor with most of these snap-on cases, I am sure that most of the cases out there would crack or be damaged in one way or another. The phone is dense enough that with it's weight alone it will cause damage to the cases not to mention the phone itself, from fairly low heights. Although they will break the hit of a fall, being so thin and plastic they will still transfer the energy from the impact.

These snap-on cases, IMHOP; are more for scratch and ding protection during normal use. Dropping a phone from whatever height, is normally not a good thing! lol

I totally agree.

I had one of those cheap ebay snap on rubberized cases. And I accidentally knocked my phone off my desk, a good 2-3 foot drop on to a hard wood floor. The phone survived, but there was a crack in the case. I went to a Seido case because of it wasn't as bulky as the body glove case. But I doubt the Sedio case or even the body glove case would do much better if dropped. But I'm more worried about the screen cracking from a fall than the rest of the phone breaking. At least the screen is plastic and not glass like the iphone.
