Body Glove vs Seidio:

Revisited this today 'cause I'm still quibbling about which. One question I've not been able to answer, do either of these cases obstruct the ability to tilt the screen? I can't tell from links or the site (on BG at least). Can someone who has them comment?

Thanks. :)

as far as body glove, no restrictions what so ever.

I have to say I like the cleaner look of the Seidio better. I purchase the Seidio case plus the belt/waist band holder for it, and the 2 together work well, are clean looking, and it is working well for me. I am using it with a Sprint TP2.

Can you post some pictures? Interested in the Seidio case as well. Thanks

Re: I dumped Seidio for Body Glove

when I get home I can take some pics of it... usually I snap pics with the phone, but haven't been able to figure out how to snap a pic of the phone with the phone, other than a cheesy mirror shot, so I will use a real camera when I get home to take some. I just like the Seidio because it is a black, smooth rubber feel, and not that "bumpy" look that I find personally "icky" of the Body Glove.

Which do you like better and why? I thought I wanted the Seidio until I saw this thread. The BG looks bigger and uglier but also looks like it may protect better. To those who have both, would I be correct saying the Seidio is slimmer and better looking, but may not protect so well. While the BG is thicker, bulkier, and grippier (is that even a word???) but may protect better? Can either be dash mounted with the case besides just clipping the belt clip to the vents or whatever or would the case need to be removed?

Thanks!!!

the BG gives FAR better protection than the Seidio.

Personally, I like the BG better but I only use the back part. I don't like the front at all so I use the front from an ebay clear case.

The back of the BG is awesome & I do like the looks of it a lot. It fills my hand & gives a totally awesome grip on the phone.

That being said, the Seidio back is on my phone right now (I still use the clear front) because with the BG on it, it won't fit in any of the cases I own.

The BG is much more rugged than the seidio. If you take off the back a lot (to swap batteries or hit the reset button) the seidio has the tiny little tabs that eventually break off & then it is useless.

Upon recommendations here and in a couple other forums, I bought the BG. It arrived today and so far, so good........

Can anyone post side by side pictures of the seidio and Bodyglove case? I would like to see how much of a real difference there is.

I currently have the body glove case and it was a great case when it fitted. Now the mold of the case doent fit on my phone anymore so the case is useless. Any ideas how to keep a rubberized case without messing up the molding. If you have a spare battery each time you change battery's it losen the molden. Any suggestions i need a new case now.

my tab broke off the first time removing the front piece (the back piece goes on and off w/o problem)

emailed seido and complained... they sent me a whole new case, for free.

I love my body glove. However, it is pretty hard to remove the back when you want to access the sd card or battery to soft reset. Any tips on how to remove the back easily? lol

if you want you're phone to look professional get the seidio. if you like your "fake, spray-on carbon fiber hood mounted on a 2003 honda civic look" then get the body glove.

The first snap-on case I found was made by Body Glove. I bought one and love it more than the Seidio cases. It has an optional belt clip adapter with a stand for desk viewing. Plus the material makes it even easier to hold on to. I recommend it.

http://www.bodyglove.com/store/produ...oduct_id=31616

I am hoping that the clips are more resilent than the Seidio cases'. I always managed to break one and had one piece of the case always falling off. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR

The body glove is nice . I ordered it and its got the great feel , BUT it still has the same problem most of the snap on cases have. The top left snap does not work well enough IMHO to be sold like they are.I have tried several cases so far. I just received a new one and I have to say it is so far the best case by far . It does ship from Hong Kong but the snap on it uses is much better and covers more of the edge than the snap clips of the body glove and others. It has a very this snap set up and snaps around a larger area providing much mor secure fit. The body glove top half f case pops off on me all the time to the point I use it more as a holster clip than a real case. I also barely increases the profile of the phone in addition to providing a non slip grip if you place your phone on dashboard , etc. The silicone is soft but firm enough to Provide great protection. It took about 2 weeks to get the case in but I think its well worth the 12 bucks it cost. It also has nice cutout on the back for the sprint phones instead of the solid back cover. I was only able to find this on EBAY but I can say , it is by far the best fitting snap on case to date( I have tried at least 5 different ones)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWNX:IT

I have no connection to the seller but if I had this case from the beginning I wouldn't have the scuff marks on the corners , etc. No belt clip, but by far the best case I have seen or tiried so far for the Sprint TP2

the second one is a black one. I just ordered one to try so i dont have the verdict on it yet but for the price, it is worth trying.

The first one is hands down the best fitting case I have tried yet,

Feel free to say thanks if you like these. I usually do not ask for thanks but I think this find is worth a tap. Peace

Not a coupon code but here is a tip. I just bought mine from Amazon the other day. Here is the link. They're currently selling the Seidio Innocase for $22.46 but if you spend at least $25 they ship it for free. So I just bought a pen which I needed anyway (found using this site) to bring the total over $25. That's the best deal I could find last week, so it's probably still the best one you'll find right now.

Fits my Sprint TP2 perfectly and looks way better than my Body Glove. :D

I'd sure like to see some more pics of the seidio with the holster if anybody is willing to snap a few. The more the better.

thanx,

Re: I dumped Seidio for Body Glove

The Seidio case has been stellar except for the top left corner, as everybody says. I'm still looking for a better replacement.

It's taken quite a few spills and the phone is pristine. I went go-karting (40mph indoor drift track) Saturday while on call, and had the phone in my pocket - it slipped out during a turn and flew out onto the track. Nobody ran it over (thankfully)..but the Seidio kept the phone in good shape. The case itself took a couple war wounds, and the top left corner is now completely useless, but the TP2 - Golden!

edit=Some other folks have said that Seidio's customer service is pretty stellar, so I've sent my feedback on the case to them. Hopefully they'll tweak that corner a bit.

Good grief, how in the hell were you able to hear them? And they allow phone calls during go-karting at that place? Methinks you need some body armor on the phone, lol ;) :D Interesting testimonial, though, that is good to know in such an extreme case the phone held up.

Got the Seidio. Errrrrrrrrr! While it looks really nice and feels great like others mentioned it has a hard time staying on due to the top left corner not snapping into place. I have the problem on the top part and the bottom part. I'm going to be calling tomorrow.
