Easy Google Voice On TP2: iDialer

Ok so for the people like me that use Google Voice and hate having to dial in the numbers and such every time you want to call out on it I thought I would make this thread. This is a simple guide to easily use Voice on TP2 via iDialer.

1. Download the cab for iDialer below.

2. Go to this link for the configuration page http://www.supware.net/iDialer/config/

3A. If you want to use iDialer for ALL calls and not use the windows dialer, then choose Standard service and Google Voice Calling Card.

3B. If your like me and like the windows dialer for normal calls, only choose the Google Voice Calling Card option.

4. Just enter your number in the box then pin and download the generated cab.

Install iDialer and then the config cab and there you go!

EDIT: Also install the iContact cab below for easy access to your contacts from iDialer. Its a very nice and finger friendly contacts application.

Hope this guide helps!

Actually the method I did above doesnt use data. The option for callback using the data connection I never got to work. Ill try to use it again and see if it works now.

Re: Easy Google Voice On TP2: iDialer

I tried this on my diamond and the google setup using the credit card option doesn't work for me, I setup my carrier and google and it won't let me select google, anyone sure this doesn't use a data connection (I don't have a data connection)

You have to make calling card your first option or hold down the talk button on the screen to select which service you want to use (ie carrier or google). Dont do the callback option when you make your configuration. I usually just make the calling card only option for idialer and use the regular phone app for regular calls as i stated above.

It dials out to Google Voice #, then repeated dinging and "im sorry" message.. tested pin/calling manually and it works, any advice?

to quote myself from a review...lol

I added two p's to the PIN Number because I found that iDialer was too fast for the Google Voice prompts, causing issues. The p's add pauses to the system and this seems to be enough to get it to work.
So it should look like: pXXXXp where the "X"s is your PIN.
