ghost texting

I have the new touch pro 2 and now this is the second time where my phone has re-sent a text to two different people. They were old texts that were sent sometimes weeks ago. Both times i was not using my phone, the screen was off and was on my home screen. Anyone else with this problem?

I had the same issue with my touch, touch pro and now touch pro2. It was the worst with my touch than any of them. It always happens when you go into a bad signal location or when soft resetting your phone. Only way to stop it is to keep your phone as clean as possible of old texts. It is a sprint thing not a phone thing I believe.

Check your out box, after deleting all your texts. Sometimes in the past, I've had them stick on me.

I had this happen on my touch pro once. I fixed it by going into my outbox (checked all of them) and finally found the message lingering. Deleting it fixed the problem.

Just found this thread because Mine is doing it bad. It's saying message can't be sent then the other person is getting it 3 times, and I get theirs like 5 times and we on different networks. It's annoying exspecially for the folks without unlimited text (yes I still know people without it)

I've had this problem too. When I get the "this message cannot be sent" type errors I just remember to delete anything from the outbox. I am also on Sprint.

Are you restoring txt's with PIM backup by any chance?

Best way to avoid that is to go into the message options and uncheck the box that says "Save sent items in sent folder" or something like that, that way even if your phone can't send the message it won't save it to the outbox! That's what I did at first until I flashed another radio and now I don't have that problem, might wanna try that too!

def must be a sprint issue since i had it with the mogul and now with the treo pro... very frustrating

glad i am not only one that had this, i thought i went crazy when it happened and another person answered a sms that i didnt send to her over 4 month ago
