Car charger question?

Hi,

This is my first smart phone

. I have been doing some research on car chargers. It seems a lot folks use car chargers that are capable of at least 1000mah for their Touch Pro 2. I have a older mini usb car charger from my previous phone (Motorola SYN1630A) that has a capacity to charge 800mah. If I were to use this instead, would it damage the phone?
