Re: new converts to tp2 from blackberry storm
The Storm 2 is what the original Storm should have been... I have a Storm 1 and a co-worker just got the Storm 2, while I like it I still think that my Touch Pro 2 is a much better device, not only for having a dedicated keyboard but also just a better working phone all around.
The click screen on the Storm 2 is better than the original but it still feels a bit off and I wonder how long it takes until the screen no longer feels snappy, also the Blackberry 5.0 OS is very underwhelming, the best part about it is having threaded SMS. As for WiFi, when it works, it seems to be ok, but it drains the battery rather fast. |

Re: new converts to tp2 from blackberry storm
I just got my Verizon TP2 today. Sold the Storm 1 on eBay.
I got sick of having to click the screen all the time to type. My thumbs actually hurt from having to press the WHOLE screen down all the time. I also didn't like the navigation and stuff when I was trying to go back and change/add a single letter in a word. I almost always ended up just using backspace and re-typing what I backed up through. I also like the Touch-Flo 3D2 better than 5.0 OS. Granted, it's good that they updated, but come on.... it looks almost the same at 4.7. And they keep releasing devices, like the Tour a few months ago, that have a trackball and no WiFi.... Now low and behold, they're releasing a Tour with a optical trackpad like the Omnia and WiFi. What is up with that? Pretty much, it's like they're nickel and diming you per device, just enticing you to get the next device. Good business plan I guess for repeat customers, but bad on my wallet! So, I sold my Storm and a few other things, and splurged for a brand new Verizon TP2 from someone over at HowardForums for $375!!! Outstanding deal, especially since they're going for darn near $600 on eBay. I'm glad I came and finally got the TP2. Enjoy!!!! |
