Storage Card or Device for installed programs?

Any noticeable speed decreases with installation on the storage card? I would love to store everything on the storage card but am worried that I might have performance problems.

Although, Xtract works fine from the storage card, and that seems like it would be pretty intense from a computing standpoint.

Any thoughts?

EDIT: I know that there are these threads for other devices, I was specifically asking in terms of the touch pro 2

when it comes to installing apps into the storage card many factors come into play like the class of your micro. some apps recommend to be install into the main memory of the device. this is for the device to access files faster. i would recommend installing games and minor apps into your storage card.. basically the things you wouldn't use as much or the less important things.

Thanks, that's the generally principal I've been following, but I was just wondering if I was losing out ornot.

Re: Storage Card or Device for installed programs?

I pretty much install everything to the device memory. I used to use storage card for unimportant things and tweaks and such on device memory similar to what was stated earlier but that was back when device memory was so limited. now theres enough memory for all my applications that I never really feel the need to store any apps on my storage card and just use it for all my media. Never really noticed a difference between the two though. I wud assume device memory would be faster but with windows mobile i doubt it would really make a noticeable difference. just my two cents.
