Use my Plantronics unit while working out (stereo - sounds great) but it does slow it down also. Very noticeable.

To anyone who has/had this problem and flashed to a 6.5 ROM, does it work any better?

I'm having the same problem with my onstar bluetooth. Anyone ever stumble upon a fix for this?

This problem is well documented. Do a search for Widcomm and you will find all of the appropriate threads. Also heard this was fixed with cooked USC 6.5 Core which most here are now using.

I haven't seen this issue discussed. I have an Alpine BlueTooth unit in my car. Whenever I am connected to it, my TP2 is very unrepsonsive. Most of the time it is in the dialer. It takes forever to release a call and when it finally does, dialing a number is almost impossible. As soon as I turn off BT, it works just fine.

Any thoughts?

I also have a Alpine Bluetooth unit. Besides it slowing down my TP2, I am unable to dial numbers from the phone itself while connected to the Bluetooth. I have to dial from the Alpine unit for it to work. This is not the case with my work phone or my wife's phone. Any suggestions how to fix this?

Hmmmm, I use my car with BT and don't have the problem you are describing....I use it for both music and calls. Didn't have the problem when I was on the stock ROM and I recently upgraded to Mighty ROM 6.5 with Sense 2.1.

Odd....I was with most people here wondering if it wasn't the BT equipment, but if it worked with the stock ROM....maybe it is the ROM you are using now?

Re: Bluetooth slows down TP2

It's not the ROM. It's the bluetooth stack(drivers) that are installed by HTC. They chose a Widcomm(I think) stack over the normal Microsoft one. It allowed them to do the fancy Bluetooth software that we use to setup/configure bluetooth, but it also causes incompatibility with a bunch of bluetooth devices (my Pioneer AVIC F90BT is definitely one of them!) as well as making some software that relies on being able to add stuff to the bluetooth driver (There's an app that will allow you to control your pc as if your phone was a mouse(screen) and keyboard(physical keyboard) which doesn't work because we're using the non-MS stack).

This issue definitely exists on stock Sprint ROM and MightyROM 11/26(I think /26, whatever :) )
