Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 8.12; MSIEMobile6.0) Sprint T7380)

How do you update the Opera Mobile that comes with the phone with a new one? I can't just go and install the new version because of the TP2's new memory management system and how Opera Mini never actually closes and never shows up in the task manager as a program available for closing.

Re: how to replace stock Opera with new one?

You should be able to close Opera fully within Opera ("Exit Opera"), although you may have to disable HTC's "Push Internet" to do so. I'm pretty certain you can then just install the new version.
