Re: Keep wifi alive
Change your settings to not blank the screen, only dim it?

Re: Keep wifi alive
And or plug your phone to the wall... should not shut off while on external power. Or that may be a setting you have to choose. Rainfreak is no the right track.

Re: Keep wifi alive
I have yet to use this great feature. However I feel... again... I feel that preventing the phone from going into sleep mode while plugged in makes the most sense to ME. That way if I am sharing my wifi and I am plugged in, my phone won't sleep. However if I change the settings and make my phone dim and not sleep... I have to change those settings every time I share wifi. Also If I do a reg edit and make those changes then it would seem that you have to make a reg edit to reverse those changes once I am done sharing wifi. Just my opinion though. I love that we can all do what we feel works best for us.

Re: Keep wifi alive
I would like to know this as well. I was trying to stream a Clear Channel radio station in Kinoma Play via wifi since I had no 3G coverage where I was at. The wifi kept dropping though when the screen went to sleep.
This would be nice to have wifi stay on when certain programs are running. Is there a regedit we can do to solve this? |

Re: Keep wifi alive
krnfrk6663 was right, it was posted here in the Touch Pro 2 Tweaks, Hacks, Tips & Modifications sticky...
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...4&postcount=30 However, I think it was proven not to work 100%. I remember trying to do this myself but my wifi would cycle every time my phone switched off!

Re: Keep wifi alive
just use HDTweak found here:
http://montecristoff.webs.com/hdtweak.htm there is a setting in there that enables the wifi to stay alive when the device is in standby. I can confirm this working as i have my TP2 in standby with the wifi on and twikini running in the background, twikini is chirping away whenever i get a new tweet. |
