Pro 2 with Sero, rebates and other pricing

you can try what i did(although the phone i purchased off ebay may have been obtained illegally)....

renew your contract and have sprint send you one of their free phones(i chose the lg lotus, they are also giving away the samsung reclaim). sell phone on ebay, i listed my lotus for buy it now $150 and it sold in a few hours.

there are lots of touch pro2's listed on ebay in the $400-430 price range with free shipping... use in conjuntion with bing cashback (8%) and add in your $150 or so from selling the old phone, and you are looking at a total out of pocket expense of $250-300.

you can also take it one step further and call sprint and have them do a warranty exchange(if thats even still available for you) on your mogul, and then sell whatever new phone they give you on ebay as well.

only problem is you may end up with a phone that was obtained thru some sort of insurance scam. i think i did, although not 100% positive... i am calling sprint today to find out.

Bumping this - does anyone have any clue if Sprint is going to be dropping the price again?

With SERO and my upgrade credit of $150, I can get the TP2 for $350. Are there any other rebates out there? Any chance waiting around for Black Friday will make a difference? (For Best Buy or something... I'm doubtful.)

Check out this SERO specific subforum over at Sprint Users. Lots of tips. I was able to get an extra $70 service credit in addition to the $150 upgrade credit which allowed me to get my TP2 for $280 (before tax) and keep my $30/mo SERO500 plan. I even got an additional $50 gift card for referring a friend to Sprint. I personally doubt Sprint will drop the price considering the TP1 is still $300 (it's debut price).

Damn, can't believe I missed out on mailing in the rebate. I made the mistake of waiting 'til the last minute to decide to keep the device. I'm now 10 days past the date a MIR is supposed to be mailed out by.

i got the pro2 FREE from asurion under 1yr warranty replacement for my touch pro. im on sero $30 500 bonus sprint 2 home %25 discount on both lines.
