is there way to re-size the landscaping so that everything will fit to screen since right now its sized for the portrait viewing?

I don't think there is a way to resize. That's probably one of the reasons they always forced it back to portrait. It would be nice if you could use different wallpapers for portrait and landscape like S2U2.

so are you saying that newer versions of this software already include this "dword" you discussed...if not, can someone make a cab that will make the changes for me bc i find it to be a pain in the butt to remember this in case i do a heard reset...a cab would be highly appreicated

No the newer versions don't have the dword, they are just able to take advantage of it. A cab would be a great idea though, maybe someone will take a look and make one.
