Re: TP2 - Droid? Thoughts?

I'd buy a DROID in a heartbeat if Sprint offered it. I'll have to make do with a TP2. I hope TP2 eventually gets a nice build of Android.

Yeah, I've heard a lot about that battery! Its only a matter of time before Samsung starts replacing those with a new high output one!

Most of the issues are drivers and how devices are mapped. Since the Droid is a completely different machine from another vendor (Motorola vs HTC) I highly doubt it will be much help.

But I'm sure every release of a droid will help a little bit to piece together something that works on touch pro 2 as well as other non official droid devices.

I doubt we'll ever see it officailly (i.e. from HTC, Sprint or Verizon) but unofficially I hopefully it won't be long.

TP1 and Diamond1 is way behind the older Vogue.

Mhz isn't everything. the Moto Droid is fast. Different processor and GPU. In the real world it may be faster than the Samsung. It's plenty snappy.

I don't know if you have ever experienced a Samsung Moment (I never played with a Droid) but that thing will have your head spinnin! The only thing I didn't like is when the screen is in the sunlight its really washed out, but if a glare from a light bulb hits it it looks pretty normal, and when in the dark BOOYY! Slowdown or lag doesn't exist with that thing!
