How did you get the tv out/video out to work on the touch pro 2? - Page 2

I used a generic 3.5mm cable on the dongle, after doing the tape trick (instead of pulling the 4th(?) pin) and it worked for me. Too bad the registry hack from the TP1 days doesn't work

If you see this and get a chance, could you link to or explain the "tape trick"? I assume that instead of pulling the correct pin, you simply tape over it? Either way, don't really want to screw things up if I'm not sure..heh.

Maybe we'll get a new reg hack someday, I just assumed it would work too, never gave it a second thought til I went to use it and it didn't.

I have two oem from htc, one is installed in my car but everything on both works flawless.

is a registry hack going to be released for the touch pro 2? i don't know how to tape or pull the 4th pin out. and i don't want to spend $25 for a special tv out cable.

I have a boxfull of new Multi-adapters. I will Mod one to work with the 3.5mm to rca ipod cables and no need for tv out .cab. Plug and play.

If anybodys interested Ill ship one to my fellow geeks for $6.
