How did you get the tv out/video out to work on the touch pro 2? - Page 5

My Verzion TP2 did not come with an adapter, however the wife's HTC Ozone did. I snipped the blue wire and everything seems good to go. I didn't have to use any hacks, and as soon as you plug it in your phone it automatically goes to the tv out screen. I was able to use color for color and didn't have to switch those around. Keep in mind that it is still analog, but was pleasantly surprised how well it appeared on my 42" flatscreen. I don't use the adapter for any thing else, but i did notice if you plug in you power supply it seems to charge the phone if you want it to be charging or at least maintain power while watching longer videos or movies. The adapter doesn't snap back on once it is off, but nothing a little super glue couldn't fix.

it is possible to use sprint tv with the video out function on the touch pro 2 dont be fooled

Ok, finally i could find the regedit for the tv out... NO HARDWARE mods needed.... just this:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\H2W\TVOutCableIn change to 1 default is 0
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\TVOut\FunctionEnab le change to 1 default is 0

i test it in two htc touch pro 2 from sprint.... if somebody could include this in a cab just like the tp1 will be apreciate... well, at least my friend is lucky... i took of my 4 pin 2 months ago and he tape his... and tonight while im not in the hospital and he bring me her phone to flashing it i discover the regedit with the tp1 adaptor with the 4 pin he brought.... so if i help you please press THANKS
and if the mods want it please move this to a place more visible...

what do you guys think about the Picture quality on your TV,
I can obviously see the above pic but does it look any better in person.

I wasn't sure what kind of camera you had taken the pic with and what the setting on your camera are.

is the quality better on small tv's 20-42" or does the picture get worse the bigger you tv is.

The picture quality is fine. I think what you are seeing is interlaced scan lines from the CRT TV.

In general, however, standard definition TVs have considerably lower resolution than computer screens. Video content looks fine, but fine text is very difficult to read. Try plugging any laptop with TV out into an old-school television set, and you'll see what I mean. Limitation of the tech, nothing to do with our phones.

MaRk0G, fantastic news! Someone should cab up these tweaks! I just resorted to the hardware mod after giving up, but this should be useful to many people!
