Im on gsm only but nothing I hope when i Installed the unlocker i didnt skrew it up . I hope I could get it to work cause i wanna switch to t-mobile,

okay, to change gears a little bit here.. does anyone know how battery life is affected when the phone switches to the different carrier? Is there any noticeable decrease in battery life that's out of the ordinary?

If anything, I'd think you'd get better battery life, depending on how good the signal is as I thought GSM radios were less power hungry. No idea though as I haven't used the GSM radio on my phone yet, and not sure if/when I ever will.

i just used the guide for the second time and once agian got my unlock code for free!!!

anyone able to get tmobile internet to work? I can place calls w/ the tmobile sim inserted but can't get data

Tmoblie data settings!!
connection name: t-moblie data
selet a modem: cellular line
access point :epc.tmobile.com

verizon data settings
keep all connection setting the same... #777
user name
5555555555@vzw3g.com use your number with area code
password
vzw
keep domain blank

I called VZW Global they actually gave me 2 unlock codes. I believe they have a code geneerator that is based on your IMEI. However, they told me I had to be a customer for a year. I have only had that account for 6 months or so, but they looked up my other account and verified that I have been a customer for 6 years.

T-mo SIM worked without a hitch.

when i got my second touch pro 2 and did my original steps they gave my two unlock codes too!! i tested to see if i was imei based and verifyed that it is with the help of two members of this fourm!!

Know tmoblie sim worked fine but i have been working on a way to make a sidekick plan from t-mobile to work on the tp2. that plan is prepayed and u get unlimited txt and data for $1 a day plus it only 10cent/min!! if u are like me who doesnt talk on the phone much this is a great secondary back prepayed plan!! so far i have the voice ,sms,and email working but i cant get the internet to work!!

This are my current settings:

modem: cellular line (gprs,3g)
access point: hiptop.t-mobile.com

user name: i have tried all of these: dummy,guest,(blank)
password: same as user name
