PPC To PC Connection Issues, Please help!

All,

I acquire some assistance from you guys, last week I was able to sync, move files etc.. from my phone to my work PC with no issue, now I lose the connection.

When I connecting my phone via USB, I can see it connection but 1 or 2 seconds later I lose the connection. I tried other USB ports and USB cables on my PC but with the same result.

So what I did I removed the MSync program and re-installed and I was able to sync my phone again with my PC, but today the same issue arose. Also when I plug in my phone I see it being charged, but I can not move files from the phone to the PC and vice versa.

I don't want to keep un-installing and re-installing the MSync program, anyone have any suggestions or Technical help to offer.

PPC: HTC Touch Pro2, stock rom 6.1

PC: Compaq Presario 6660PT Desktop PC

OS: XP Professional, Service Pack 2

Did you try to restart your computer and soft reset the phone?

Yes, a few of times now.

Did you try to uninstall and reinstall ActiveSync?

Yes, yesterday I did it and I was able to access my phone again but today it happened again where I can access my phone anymore.

I shouldn't have to keep re-installing and un-installing all the time.

Are you using Vista on your computer? You might need an update or better yet did you install any automatic updates recently?

No, I'm using XP, and I don't remember installing any new updates.

On your phone go to: settings/connections/USB to PC....uncheck "Enable faster data syncronization"

Have you tried a different cable? I have a cable that acts the very same way. It will connect well enough to charge but actual USB connection is unstable at best.
