MMS downloads and data connection

Hi,

I been lurking and reading lately.. I just upgraded from my ppc 6800 to touch pro 2..

I really like it and have used some of the hacks and what not on here with great success..

I have noticed that when I get a mms from someone the data connection is still on and I have to manually turn it off.

My other phone turned off after it was complete.

Is there a setting somewhere for this?

Hmm thats strange because my Tp2 turns it off after the pic has been send or recieve.

maybe cuz i'm on verizon? you sprint..

thanks for the quick response though...

yea my other phone turned it off sending and receiving, but it was actually an alltel phone ,, now i have a verizon phone..

its annoying and I know if I can get it to turn off automatically it will save on some battery life.

ive searched around and seems there are cab files to fix this, but I was hoping it was a setting on the phone, but I can't seem to find anything. glad I have free data..

Instal a registry editor and then go here:

HKLM\Software\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\UI\AutoDisconnect\

Change AutoDisconnect from 0 to 1 and then whenever you recieve an MMS, after it downloads, your data will automatically turn off. Verizon for some reason neglected to perform this registry edit on their stock ROM.
