i dont even see the option in my messages for the phone to read the text or email aloud in

it will not read old texts or emails only new ones when they are received.

when i get new texts its only playing my text message tones its not reading at all what exactly do u have to do?

what are your exact settings thats getting the texts to play from the phone and read it aloud?

go to all settings, personal tab, voice command, then click on messages, options, then select "announce new messages" only. then click notifications, and select "announce notifications through device speaker or wireheadset" or "announce notifications using bluetooth hands free if available"

Edit: if you are going to use ms voice command to announce incoming calls or messages, make sure you turn off the regular ringtone notifications.

thanks that worked perfect i was only checking the box on messaging i didnt highlight it before going to options i guess thanks again

+1, I was doing a midterm and completely lost my train of thought because an "urgent" email was being read in my ear via bluetooth by my tp2

I'm still not entirely sure why this just randomly started doing this the other day, I hadn't changed anything in weeks, but I"ve bene tryin to get it to stop for days. Thanks.

Crazy question, but how do u turn off regular ringtones and still have this voice command still playing.. I can't get it to do it no matter what...

I get messaging but no vioce command when someone calls... I don't know how to turn that part off..

im sorry but when you say turn that part off, are you trying to turn the voicecommand off or the ringtone off?
