GPS suggestions

Hi,

Im running the VZW TP2 with Tomtom (The edited EXE file that doesnt break the BT stack) and its just too slow. It cant be the GPS itself, as google maps is super fast and locks quickly

Any suggestions to a GPS software that wont break my phone and have.

less lag than Tomtom

Plenty of POI

Voices?

I'd mostly prefer a working ver. of Tomtom but whatever works, This is for North America.

I'm convinced that the reason TomTom looks so slow is that the internal GPS doesn't refresh its position fast enough. I use TomTom with my Bluetooth GPS on the TP2 and it works flawlessly. (Before people starting piping in about Direct3D drivers, it's clearly not the case here as proven with the Bluetooth GPS.)

Maybe we'll see a ROM update that fixes the GPS issues in the future but if you want a guaranteed solution (and don't mind paying $50 or so), look for a Bluetooth GPS module and just keep it in your car.
