Re: Media Player for Playing Movies
You could try Mobile Media Center which uses Windows Media Player for the video player but adds some more options and is more finger friendly. You can get it on xda.

Re: Media Player for Playing Movies
I have CorePlayer (& I love it) but I usually use Album for playback of my DVD rips (h.264) playback as it gives true hardware support (so does WMP) & CP does not at this time. I also like how Album has the aspect ratio button.

Re: Media Player for Playing Movies
coreplayer is the best hands down, some people just have crappy movies and they will look bad on any player. But if you have a good movies then coreplayer is the best

Re: Media Player for Playing Movies
I play movies all the time with MP and never any issues. Are you sure it isn't the movie file? I use a Video Encoder someone on XDA made for the HTC HD and it has always worked great for me. I don't like the dropped frames I get on CP currently. It's not too bad really, but WP is still cleaner for h.264. If CP or divxplayer can play other formats as well as WP plays h.264 then I would be happy to go to that since I like CP better from an GUI standpoint.

Re: Media Player for Playing Movies
yea...coreplayer strugles a bit with good quality h.264 in mkv container videos that i have. It works great with everything else i've thrown at it though.
quick question... the h.264 files i have that are in mkv container... Do I have to put them in an mp4 container for Album or WMP to play them? I'm pretty sure that's what has to be done. If so, do you know the easiest way to do that? I've read that GOTSent might be what i'm lookin for. any input? thanks Last edited by razorloves; 10-16-2009 at 11:44 AM. |
