Re: Media Player for Playing Movies

well I could not get video to play back smoothly with WMP or album. coreplayer was the way to go for me. I had to tweak it but now eveyting is playing back super smooth and I dont know how to adjust album settings.

I am using cusoft to rip mp4 directlyfrom DVD. 640x480 res at 700 bitrate. In core player settings under video, i have qtv display, high quality, and smooth zoom on. In the buffering section i changed the buffering way up to3200 KB ( dont know if it need to be this high), preload at 100%, left audio at 64, and make sure low delay streaming is unchecked (default should be unchecked).

Those settings will not work if you're using the video out.

Is there a recommended list of settings for optimum use, both video out and from device?

I personally use DVD Catalyst, it works good using the HTC HD profile...I bet there are less expensive alternatives though...but like I said, it works well for me, and under Album or WM, using the above profile, video is nearly perfect for h.264

Idont remember him saying he was using it for vid out. But I may have missed it. I suspect that you will prob need settings for both. What settings do you use?

Re: Media Player for Playing Movies

Guys, just came over from ATT and the Iphone, where I would down load a DVD using this software, 1CLICK DVDTOIPOD. This along with DVD43 would allow me to buy a DVD and then EASILY convert it over to my Iphone. The process took about 30 minutes and I must have watched over 200 movies on my Iphone.
Well I really like the Touch Pro2 for business, so I reallyl want to use just one device. Is there a simple software program I can buy that will allow me to do what I did with the Iphone?
Thanks
Darrell

Re: Media Player for Playing Movies

As I mentioned, for me, DVD Catalyst works well...use the Touch HD setting, put the DVD in the drive, and it converts it for download...IT TAKES LONGER that 30 min though...but It works well IMHO...There are others out there that many use...you may be able to find them by searching...or wait until someone else chimes in! Good luck...

You can probaby use the same software. I would look better if you can change the resolution to about 640x480. It looks like you can change the res woth 1CLICK DVDTOIPOD but I dont know how high the res goes. You can try to copy one of your ripped movies over to your SD card and see how it plays
