Can anyone recommend another site where I can get the TP2 for 199? Any help is appreciated. Ive failed trying to call and be polite to customer service, echat, and email have been all useless.
If you're on sero this isn't going to work with any link, but here's one for 199.99 TP2 if you aren't.

Another analogy would be finding something for $100 at Walmart, and then finding an ID on the ground for Sams Club, gaining access by using that card & getting the product $15 cheaper.

Now based on your example you would have taken the price tag off another device that was for "employees only" and placed that tag on your item to get the lower price. It's not your fault they had something on the shelf marked "employees only" They should have kept it locked up, right? It's not your fault you stole.

Regardless of your credentials, it is considered fraud. While Sprint may rework the scripting simply because litigation is financial irresponsible for them to pursue, it does not mean the actions you are taking by exploiting the system are legal or morally right.

Electronic Fraud: The use of a computer to take or alter data, or to gain unlawful use of computers or services.

Fraud:
  • intentional deception resulting in injury to another person or entity
  • imposter: a person who makes deceitful pretenses
  • something intended to deceive; deliberate trickery intended to gain an advantage

Thanks for being an upstanding citizen! I hope you get something out of being a rat. I see people, everyday, returning phones for stuff they shouldn't have done. (Ex: flashing, warez, etc) THATS FRAUD! This is not. Sprint should worry about that. Obviously they're not too worried about the apple website since it's still up.

Quit hatin and be happy for the people that got deals. I'm looking at my brand new $200 TP2 and I didn't have to argue and lie to retentions about leaving for Verizon, to get it. It took me 5 minutes of surfin the web and 24 hours later....tadaa! A Touch Pro 2!!!

My quarrel is with Sprint giving corporate discount to companies like CitiGroup. A company that MY tax dollars are going to save! And yet those corporate A-holes are getting 27% off plans and phones for $250 less than what your average tax paying, hard-working citizen is getting?

http://finance.yahoo.com/career-work...ry_negotiation

That's why I took advantage of this loop-hole. I'm against nickel and diming Sprint to death. You can check a previous post for that. My only complaint against Sprint is who they give discounts to and for what amount. 15% for military and 27% for cheats on Wall Street?! (for example) That's a joke.

It was your decision not to take advantage of this. Let everyone else live in peace. Thanks for standing up for corporate America. I'm sure they'll return the favor...hhahaa

It worked a couple of days ago and many sero users got the phone for 199. But then sprint caught on and fixed the site to not allow sero users to get it.

Re: Sprint dropped price of Touch Pro 2 to $199

#1. Deals are usually provided to larger companies because they have corporate accounts & spend a considerable amount on services. Deals for the employees are a benefit of being partnered with that company. I'm sure if you spent a few million a year you would expect a discount as well.

#2. No one is "screwing you" by offering a discounted plan or phone pricing to a select group of people that spend more in 1 week with Sprint than you will spend in a lifetime. the "they owe me" mentality is tiresome at best. No one owes you anything. If you don't like the product offers or services of a particular carrier you are more than welcome to switch. I hear Verizon, AT&T, as well as T-Mobile are offering phones at a discounted rate. Perhaps that is the better soluion if your concern lies there

Exploiting a programming flaw to get something you "feel" you deserve is morally wrong. Perhaps that does not concern you. It does concern me. I purchased my phone for $199 through legitimate means, without the need to exploit the system online. I don't plan to change my stance because I am morally grounded & will continue to report any exploit I see to Sprint. At that point it is up to Sprint if they want to correct the problem

I am not going to address the morality of the companies that are accepting bailouts. This thread has nothing to do with that. It's a completely separate subject. Not to mention the business dynamics that would be affected if every company that recieved a bilout stopped recieving discounts... Do we want to go into how many companies both on the giving & receiving end would be negatively affected if such a thing happened?

Bottom line- If you feel what you are doing is morally acceptable, that is fine. I feel what I am doing is the morally correct action to take.

SolApathy, why not just report this to Sprint and leave it at that. Why do you feel the need to post that you did it. That is the part I don't understand, do your good deed and just enjoy the feeling of deed well done. Can we move on now?

As far as I am concerned she can report away.

Re: Sprint dropped price of Touch Pro 2 to $199

Why? in my opinion (which is mine to share) it takes away from the purpose of this site. You are not allowed to post product keys to exploit software & get it for free, but you are allowed to create topics that show you how to exploit the Sprint website so you can save money. It's a double standard.

This site is about the phones themselves, not exploiting the website & getting a lower price by making the site think you are an authorized representative of another company.

Perhaps I am taking it so personally because I once had a website that sold some low price goods, with an offered discount to repeat buyers. Someone found how to gain access to the discount by exploiting the cached site. I lost maybe $100, which isn't much in the grand scale of things. I was pretty aggravated that someone was fine with using an exploit to take advantage of discounts they would not otherwise be privy to, though.

Perhaps you don't consider it theft, but either way my wallet was $100 lighter.

That is the type of attitude that would not think twice about taking advantage of any situation, no matter who it hurt.
