Re: Daylight Savings Time change
Correct me if I'm wrong (and I WILL want proof )...The patches should already be built in...we shouldn't have to download anything.
Us weirdos in AZ don't have to worry about this unless we venture out of our holes. |

Re: Daylight Savings Time change
So our brand new devices (sure not running 6.5 but..) do not have this update? It's like if I just bought a new PC today but need to install this patch tomorrow. I find it kinda hard to believe, so I'm not going to install this patch and see what happens in a week....

Taken from HTC site..... Daylight Savings Patch The U.S. Energy Policy Act of 2005, passed by the U.S. Congress July, 2005, extended Daylight Saving Time (DST) in the U.S. by approximately four weeks. As a result, beginning in 2007, DST will start three weeks earlier on March 11, 2007, and end one week later on November 4, 2007, resulting in a new DST period that is four weeks longer than previously observed. Since this is the first major change to Daylight Savings Time in decades, it has affected numerous consumer electronics devices including HTC’s portfolio of Windows Mobile devices. In general, all Windows Mobile 2003 and 5.0-based devices require a patch to be installed in order to ensure proper clock and calendar adjustment on the correct dates. HTC has been working closely with Microsoft to ensure this patch is compatible with HTC devices.

Re: Daylight Savings Time change
Sort of related, on mine, it was in my pocket and the screen got pushed a bunch of time, going into the time settings, and it changed the time. How do you get it to get the exact time off of the cell system again?

Re: Daylight Savings Time change
The way I see it... If I need it I will find out 11/1 otherwise I am just not going to worry about it. I think that statement from the HTC site is old. I remember having an issue with my TP. Once again, if it still is an issue on 11/1 I will come back to this post. But I went ahead and hit the Thanks button just in case.
