Touch Pro 2 FOR FREE!

hey i just got the htc touch pro 2 for free! didnt have to pay ANYTHING. this is what happen.

last night my screen froze completely... after 2 soft resets and a hard reset, the screen is still un responsive. i use to always use the sprint online phone replacement program. but this time, it says ive used the maximum. i had no idea what this meant. i thought i was stuck with this broken phone. the next morning i went to the sprint store, explained what happen. and the employee just asks me what phone i want? i said "do i have to pay for it?" she says no, if you had 3 replacements in the last year they give you a free phone of your choice. i know the sprint hero just came out today but i couldnt get that. she offered a bunch of blackberrys, and the tp2.. so i took the tp2! cant wait to pick it up tomorrow!

anyone else this happend too? its pretty sweet

Sprint is trying to remove TPs from circulation due to the high occurrence of malfunctioning. They will not give you any phone you want, but rather have a list of phones they can offer you. There is more info here: http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1577243

In addition there is a couple threads open on this site as well regarding the issue. Both are titled something like "Sprint replacing TP with TP2!"
Anyhow, enjoy your new phone. My wife's replacement is supposed ot be in tomorrow as well.
