Temperature Issue?

I left my TP2 in a 55° room with 46% power and went to bed. 8 hours later I turned it on and less than a minute later it turned itself off because the battery was nearly dead. Now, I realize that cold temperatures adversely effect batteries performance, but the temperature wasn't that cold and the battery wasn't all that low when I put it down.

Any idea's why it died so quickly from a moderately low temperature, this didn't happen with my Titan.
