Re: Dialing number without " 1 " or automatic

When dialing any number in the US, I always dial the 10 digit phone number and NEVER with the "1".

I never have any problem with this and have been doing it for the last 16 years.

You shouldn't have to dial a 1 at all, as long as you use the appropriate area code when you dial... at least I've not had to use a 1 in a very long time

Re: Dialing number without " 1 " or automatic

I wonder if this has anything to do with the Global Smart Dialing settings in Call Button>Menu>Global Smart Dialing.
I have a Sprint TP2 using it in another country and I've had to disable this to get my phone calls to work.

Re: Dialing number without " 1 " or automatic

thanks so much... I got the phone from sprint (US) and i am now using it in pakistan. It kept adding +1 for numbers that were less than 10 digits. I have disabled the Global Smart Dialing and now it works just fine.
