Keyboard Spacebar

is it just my device... or is the keyboard spacebar softer than the other keys?

Not on mine. Its the same as all the other keys.

I've been through 2 TP2's due to defects. The second one had the same issue as you describe. It's one of the reasons I returned it, the other 2 being a dead pixel and scratchy speaker phone.

Not sure if I would have called it softer, but I have noticed that I am not sure when I have pressed the spacebar, but I can always tell when I have pressed the other buttons. I had not thought about returning it, but it is annoying. If others do not have the same issue, I will have to consider returning it...

That's the same way I would describe the spacebar on mine, it didn't have a positive click like the other keys did. It was annoying but not the cause of my return.

make sure you are pushing on the center of the spacebar. Otherwise you will not feel the click

I was just about to say the same thing. I noticed that my space bar doesn't give the same feedback as the other keys. You have to press it in the center to actually feel it since the button is really in the center.

If you still do not feel a click then its probably a defect.
