This problem has occured on other touch phones. It is not a screen protector problem. The problem is that you've got moisture in between the two parts of the screen (LCD and Digitizer).

This can be fixed but you would need to open the phone and let the moisture out between the screens. Worse case scenario, you can replace the digitizer (very cheap).

I had the exact same problem took it in and they gave a tp2!

hey guys I don't know how you would feel about it, but every time I had that happen with my touch pro. I just left it in a dehydrator over night and it dissappeared...

what also works is putting it in rice for a couple of days to suck out all the moisture..

I bought my TP2 on vzw back when they were first released and made it 2 months or so before the issue cropped up. I keep the phone in my pocket and it's been in the bathroom during a shower a few times (I know, I know ). I dunno if it was the last humid bathroom or something else, but the moisture sensor on the side of mine finally tripped the other day so I'm stuck with it. I might try the duct tape approach the next time I replace my screen protector. Just put one of those Phantom Skinz on it and it wasn't cheap, so I'm not going to risk dorking up the protector as long as the digitizer works.

Yes, my phone has the same thing. I used monitor wipes to clean it and I thought maybe that caused it. Not sure. But mine has it

On closer inspection, it looks like the digitizer. I have to replace my digitizer so we'll see if that fixes it.

any tmoblers getting this. ???? Im not nor is my wifes 2, we were with sprint also and I had 3 touch pros with no oil screen, (keyboards)....... I only keep my phone facing my leg while its in my pocket so I dont think thats it..... Sounds just like it was poorly made, some will some wont......... I hope mine dont.....

Just got this rainbow effect today. My screen suddenly stopped working. I was told to take off the screen protector as that might have something to do with it, and low and behold there was the rainbow. It didn't show up until after the screen protector was removed. After the screen protector was removed, I regained function of the touch screen. I am on Verizon and I always keep my phone in my pocket, screen facing my leg. This is probably the issue. I'm taking it into Verizon to get it replaced, hopefully they grant me a replacement. This will be my 3rd TP2 in 3 months.
