I've been battling with Sprint for the past 2 weeks over this doa TP they sent me. I had to go to the store a few times to let them look at it so they could tell me it was broken. Never was offered a different phone until I called, and the a rep told me I was in the Wellness Program. Well the devices that they offer are garbage in my opinion. TP2 was not an option.

So they're ordering me another TP, but the manager said that due to the high rate of failure with the device, if this one broke they can't order me another TP...I don't want a Snap, or a Treo Pro. And I have to go through the store because I've already had more than 5 replacements (2 of which were DOA). This is ridiculous.

Interesting this is pretty much the same situation I had (read a few pages back). I was patient with them and they were definitely willing to get me the TP2. They mentioned the Treo Pro and the Snap, but when I passed up the offers they said TP2. Be patient and nice and get them to sympathize with you.

The difference in our situation is they flat out told me they wouldnt replace it with the TP2. Retentions made me talk to the store manager, instead of doing it for me. They did offer me other phones, but kept refusing the TP2 saying they couldnt order it, or it was not on the list of compatable phones.

Question....

For those of you who got their TP1s replaced with the TP2... did they give you all the accessories/charger/etc as well or was it just the handset by itself? Also, did you get to keep the TP1 or did they take it back?

Dang good question, I was looking for an answer to that too! Mine should arrive tomorrow, so if noone answers by then I'll let you know.

Got mine today, new in box touch pro 2, so all accessories included (TP2, battery, AC charger, screen protector, 2 styli, installed sim card, all manuals)

YAY! Just dropped the broken TP1 they sent the first time in the mail.

Hehe, a combination of both. I went into one store (non-corporate) opened a ticket then told me they couldn't issue the phone... they said they'd leave it open for a few weeks and I could keep calling to check if they had TP2s in store.

So I called a corporate store and referenced the ticket, the guy said he really isn't supposed to but sympathized with my situation and ordered the phone for me.

So I THINK it counts as an in-store situation.

i got mine today too.... all it came with was the phone, AC charger and battery. there's sprint giving me the shaft again!
