Just got off the phone with customer care. The rep told me that we are in fact able to get the phone replace with ones mentioned in the list. But they are currently out of tps and do not know when they will get some more. The rep offered to call me back on wednesday and let me know if they are in stock or not. If so, they will glady order it but if not I have the option to get another phone from the list , a replacement tp, or continue waiting.

Dammit! I JUST bought a TP2 from eBay a few days ago and have been using it for a couple days now.
I've previously gotten my old TP replaced 3 times, and I still have the phone. Should I re-activate my old TP, sell the new TP2, and hope that my old TP breaks again soon so I can get a "free" TP2 (the old TP is already pretty messed up - right D-pad doesn't work well)? |

you have to have a problem that CANT be fixed on your phone in order to get a new phone and an upgrade. i had a problem on my pro that couldnt be fixed from what the tech told me . it was a software issue HTC knew about and was working on. but i couldnt wait since i needed my phone to work right.

weird the would offer you a blackberry when they have to give you something comparable to the phone you have, tp2 in this case.
they can go with the new tp but you can fight it. you have to be nice of course but you can tell them you have had way to maybe problems with the pro and you want to get its replacement. i was offered a discount to jump to the pro from the mogul, meaning i had to pay to change from a phone that was giving me problems. i pushed a little harder and the manager said ok..... got a brand new pro for free and without upgrading my account. it can be done, you just have to push them |
