Re: Snap Case for Sprint TP2 Question
Hi,
I am a Ebay seller who also sells the TP2 case(don't ask me who; I don't want to make this looks like an ad). Seeing there are so many arguments over the issue of this case, I figure I could tell people what I know, and hope to get answer of my own question from others. There are 3 types of TP2 protective case in the market right now: 1.TP2 GSM, which only fits Tmobile and oversea version, not our concern today. 2.TP2 Verzion, the one which has a hole on the left of the speaker. This case has been tested by myself(I own a verizon TP2) to work 100%. 3. TP2 Sprint, This is where all the problem goes. Since it only available through telesales, it is tough for us to get the actual phone to test on. As first we thought the verizon and sprint are of the same phone, so we ship our buyer with the verizon version. However, some customer has reply that the front cover will pop out or won't go in correctly, so we stopped selling them to Sprint TP2 owners. As of today, We have no idea if the verizon case does/doesn't work on the Sprint version. And I would love to hear from others for their experience. My question for all Sprint Tp2 customer is, Could anyone confirm if the proximity sensor located on the left or right of your speaker? As the replies seems to go both way. It is actually very simple to test with: Just make a phone call, and try to cover each side next to the speaker when connected. If the screen goes black, that is where the proximity sensor is. As for nakedcellphone, I can't say they are a bad seller, but rather an irresponsible one. They would careless about if the product works, as long as they can make money(they are the only big seller who is still selling the Sprint TP2 case;everyone else stop due to the issue; and that is not the first time they did something similar). I know their little dirty trick on how they get these case, but I don't want to go public on them. Anyway, just don't beilive that they know what they are selling; they are more clueless then you are(since you own the phone and they don't. Lefty11: The link you provided is only a Verizon version TP2 case. The seller are simply claiming it will work on sprint. I won't trust anyone unless they can give out a actual picture with the case installed to the phone itself... I hope I didn't piss off too many people today ![]() |

Ok below poster is right..I just got a big thumb....Sensor is below the HTC at the top left.......As far as if the Verizon case will fit sprint....The back cover is slimmer "from what users are reporting" also i thin it has to do with if you have a bulge or not..What this bulge is "i have no idea" But alot of people complain to have bulges in there phone..If the case is suppose to be skin tight "which it is" then unfortunately you can imagine what a bulge in your phone would do to the case.... Re: Snap Case for Sprint TP2 Question
Sprint proximity sensor is 100% on the left side...and not in the ear piece. I can cover the ear piece during a call and the screen stays on. When I cover the area around the HTC logo on the left, the screen goes off.

I'm not pissed, . I am not a seller.I am wondering why they did not just say "fits verizon and Sprint". Although the back is not ideally cut to match the loads of small holes . I have ordered one myself and if it gets here I will post result. But the sensor cutout in the case pictured is definitely in the correct spot, and the info listed describes as "Snap On Rubberized Hard Cover Case Protector for HTC Touch Pro 2 Sprint phone ". For the price it was offered at 6.99 with free shipping, I will gladly take a flyer on it and try it. I hope I am not disappointed Thanks for the info , though, as it does provide us all with some insight. I will post results when and if the case comes in . My phone does not appear to have a bulge so we will see what happens. All I know is , I am needing a snap on case and having problems finding one , I currently use a belt clip, pouch case made for iphone which works very well but still would like a snap on that will keep back and sides from scratching when I inevitably drop it. I think I would just go with ZAGG if I knew how well they protect case from a drop . Last edited by lefty11; 10-11-2009 at 07:40 AM. |

Re: Snap Case for Sprint TP2 Question
I am curious about the Zagg invisishield for the Sprint TP2 , It looks cut to specs. I realize you're listed as MetroPCS but can you tell me what part of the Zagg keeps you from being able to pop and tilt the screen ? Or anyone with Sprint version? I am thinking of getting one of these if I cant find a good fitting case soon.

Re: Snap Case for Sprint TP2 Question
I have a clear snap on case that i bought from Boxwave.
They clearly sent me the GSM version as it has a small round hole on the RIGHT side. The case fits great & works just fine however & will do until the seidio innocase becomes available (the one I really want) Since this case is clear, the light sensor works fine even though there is no hole for it. ~John |
