Disable InCall proximity sensor?

It's quite annoying most of the time. Does anyone know what registry setting is used to control the InCall proximity sensor? I use a bluetooth headset and it's annoying to have my screen randomly shut off when i'm doing something on it because it thinks i'm putting it up to my face or the ambient light changes.

It also doesn't work well when having it in your pocket. I always pull my phone out to have the screen backlit the entire time.

Yeah, I'm constantly turning the screen power off (top left of the phone), and it still comes back on and either mutes me, tries to conference, or somehow starts the screen align tool... being able to disable or lock would be great...

Agreed. I HATE the damn Proximity Sensor! I always try to hut "End Call', but the damn Notifications Screen is constantly coming on while I'm on a call.

It disables if you don't use the HTC Phone dialer (PhoneCanvas) but I don't know how any other way......

Search for Incall Screen Tweak on XDA.

I installed it but havent had a chance to really put it though its paces yet.
Worked great on one test call though.

Over rides the stupid proximity sensor and instead uses the g-sensor to turn the screen off during a call.

Be sure to check ignore light senor in the option menu.

you can take a hammer and smash the top right corner of your phone. that should do the trick.
