Re: Did anybody get a crefit from Sprint for price drop?

I tried ecare.. this is what they said:

Thank you for contacting Sprint regarding the price of HTC Touch Pro 2
phone.
The HTC Touch Pro 2 phone has been ordered on your account for $449.99
plus taxes. You will also receive $100.00 as Mail-in-Rebate so the net
cost of the phone will be $349.99 plus taxes.
We are unable to address the promotional prices other providers offer. I
have checked all promotional opportunities Sprint currently offers and
as of today, there are no additional discounts available for the HTC
Touch Pro 2 phone.
Thank you again for contacting Sprint.

:(

I've only been with Sprint for 2 years (jumped on the SERO deal) I feel like I don't have much leverage since I only have 1 line and only pay $30 a month. Do these factors really make a difference in a case like this?

Is there a direct line you guys are calling or just using *2?

No leverage is required, just ask for it..if the rep says no, say thanks and hang up and call back!! Don't waste your time trying to "convince" the rep to give it to you. You will eventually get a rep that will do it for you.

I did it by the *2, 3, 5 route.

Good luck,
Matt

I know some ppl mentioned returning the phone if within the 30day return period and repurchasing.. does this work? Any problems with SERO?

I purchased on 9/9 so If i have to return and re-purchase to get the discounted price I will need to do it soon, although i would prefer to just get the discount price.

Has anybody gotten $$ back from Sprint on this? how?

Don't forget that you have 30 days from the date of activation, not from the date of purchase!

Matt

I would e-mail ecare back and tell them that you have a friend who e-mailed and got the price match and why does it work for him and not me?

I got it threw ecare so if they look they will see.I would be blunt i was.I did not get demanding but i said to them i knew people who got the price match so why am i any different.

Once they know you got the info they will do it for you.

hope this helps.

I spoke with someone in retentions when I ordered. I told them, you can either match Verizon's price or I'll not purchase a new phone and let my contract run out. Which is exactly what I was planning on doing. She said she could do that. Basically I had to call back a few times to make sure I got my extra credits but I did get $250 off total.

Re: Did anybody get a crefit from Sprint for price drop?

I got the $150 credit through ecare. I mentioned competitive pricing and my Premier status. The ecare response said yes I can get this credit, and I should contact ecare again after receiving and activating my TP2 to have the credit applied. I did so, and the credit appeared on my online account within a day. The ecare response also said they would notate my account record that they had granted me the credit, and when I ordered the phone telesales confirmed that this notation was in my account file.

I called multiple times and I couldn't get anyone to give me the credit. I finally gave up and emailed our corporate rep. to get it.
