Auto Rotate - GSensor - Page 3

I don't know why there are 2 threads for this but I can tell you for sure that (out of the box) my tp2 auto rotates on the home screen with TF3d. mine like others has recently stopped working. I tracked this to the memory card. I removed the card and it worked again. I've not had time to track it the the exact reason on the mem card, but i was about to just back up the data and wipe it.

The MEMORY card!?! Wow!! How in the world do the two of those things relate?? Hmmmmm...

I have tp2 on vzw. My default my home screen did not rotate. I add verizon_tp2_tweaks.cab to the system from here. This then turned on the rotate on the home screen.

I like that option... Not sure why though...

you do run apps of it.... do you not? at least I was, and i know that i've had the card out for 2 days now and no issues since, i put it back in... I can get the rotate to stop and get crashes when it rotates.

thankfully, the latest version does not do that anymore.

I do not run any apps off my SD card.

I remove the auto rotation feature from the Tflo settings... is too sensitive. a sly movement and the screen rotates.

update: I was just backing up all the data on my mem card to my laptop and low and behold (and this I dont get the tie in) I have a corrupt mp3 that will not transfer off. I deleted it off the card and so far so good.

I have been tormented by this since I got the phone. It's really the only major annoyance for me. Specifically, I have a windshield mount and Google Maps and TF3d (Music) won't auto rotate to horizontal. However, I don't want to have another service in the background.

I did some searching in the Registry, and I found under HKCU/Software/HTC/HTCSensor/GSensor two sets of keys under ModuleName and WhiteList. This is clearly what programs are allowed to auto rotate. I need to investigate how to add TF3d and GMaps to it.

I like this because it will save a service running, and use the built HTC software to perform the rotatation.

Check out the Touch Pro 2 clean up Sticky above because it goes through this in depth...If you have installed GoodThings2Life's clean up .cab the earlier versions of it rotated the TF3D home screens but later updates do not. If you installed this then updated it this is likely the reason for the change. PLEASE READ HIS DESCRIPTIONS CAREFULLY they are very clear.
