let me try again... you just tapped once?

you gotta tap and hold the tap down, so touch and don't let go, within a second or two a menu should pop up under your finger, which you held down, giving you options

no prob, not too sure bout flash. i think i read something bout skyfire, its a another mobile browser, but i think it may support flash. sorry don't know a whole lot bout that, so far i do very limited web browsing. also i think a new internet explorer is comin out with better flash support

How do I turn off that annoying little alert that I have to dismiss after I send a text message?

That is the SMS notification. If you do a search there is a post to show how to remove that.

Download and install this on your device and it won't give you that alert:
