Messaging alternatives?
Email and text functions in TF3D are cute... sort of... and sort of silly. The native apps are at least more functional, but I don't see a way to notify of waiting text messages if I disable the tab.
Alternatives? Wait for 6.5? Or???

If you turn off TF3d/manila and use the standard Today Screen you can select Messaging as one of your Today Screen items an it will show/tell you if you have e-mails or texts and how many.

I'd rather still use TF3D, but disable the "cuteness".
I want to slide over to text, hit the new message in the middle of the screen and have it bring up the native messaging app. I do not like using the TF3D messaging app. How can we disable this?
