6.5 is here, where is the upgrade?

Considering it was stated that some of the phones out there before today specifically stated that they would be upgraded to 6.5, I kind of expect the release for free. If it costs anything, the cost better be minimal as I would pay $50 on top of the cost of the phone to get the 6.5 upgrade. And if the phone is going to have 6.5 on it at some point anyway, it's sort of bad to not offer the update to early adopters too.

It also stated that it was subject to carrier availability, so VZW could choose to not release it at all.

And really I was just being a sarcastic 'old geezer', as you apparently took my comment seriously. I personally expect it to be out within about a month or so officially. But I am guessing we will have HardSPL before we get an official 6.5 upgrade, and no one will care anymore anyways.

actually sprints 6.5 samsung will be released on the 11th but close enough

I don't normally post anything but thought i would share what i heard.
So i was at a HTC/Sprint/Microsoft event where i got my Touch Pro 2 (for free btw) a few weeks ago, they announced the release date of 6.5 and HTC's plans for the touch as well as other HTC product lines.. Anyways Sprint was there in force with a tons of Exec who stated that the touch pro 2 is a flagship for the windows mobile line and would be the a focus for release of 6.5. When asked a time frame I got the old song and dance but it was implied they already have it completed and were working on testing for an early release. They stated that they had a chose to release the TP2 or hold for a few weeks to release it with 6.5.

As with anything on this site i wouldn't bet the farm that the info is correct. Just what i heard man..

true enoght but it may have said "update avaliblie please goto {insert url} For 6.5 updates"
