What version of pocketshield are you using? My brother is looking into that app (all he does is play nes and music on his tp2, so he doesnt care about authentication either) but is concerned about bugs and such. He has an older version of pocketshield, not the most recent, and is reluctant to install it.

Thanks

Re: Awesome alternative to S2U2 and default WM lock function

I've seen a considerable change since switching to PS. I used to leave work with about 50-60%, today I left at around 80% battery life. I'm pretty sure its by simply switching from s2u2 to PS.

Cool Re: Awesome alternative to S2U2 and default WM lock function

Well... Let me share with you my tales of wowe. lol.
I have tried S2U2 and it was most def. a battery hog and I had tons of issues with the landscape display(which I rarely need to unlock my phone in landscape mode so not a huge deal. You close the keyboard and unlock) However... The battery killing was the dealbreaker. Neither of these issues were present on my touch pro (well maybe battery life, but it wasnt great to begin with)
Then I went to the pocketshield website and downloaded the most recent version of pocket shield and I really loved it... Looks great, love all the customizations and the ability to pick and choose features.
However (again) I was really buggy with my phone's functionality. Wouldn't let me answer at times, didn't ring when it was supposed to, couldn't make calls from the contacts list, phone would ask me to calibrate the screen like once a day sometimes more, etc...
UNINSTALLED.
Most problems resolved.
Now, I just use the Windows lock feature and the password protection with a simple pin set up to lock if not in use for more than 1 hour. I'm OK with that, but really miss the customization on the wake up screen.
p.

Re: Awesome alternative to S2U2 and default WM lock function

This might seem stupid, but with all of the passwords I'm forced to remember and change every 60 days at work, I found that I easily forgot the pattern I set up for ThrottleLock, so I gave up and went back to the standard WM lock. Like many of you have stated, it's not the prettiest, but it's functional and serves its purpose.
