Pro 2 sending texts by itself

I have just noticed a serious problem where my Pro 2 is sending text messages to random contacts at random times. I sat by my wife phone as she received 3 text messages while my phone was ten yard away from me. I just went into my sent text history and was shocked to see the amount of times this has happenned. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix? I have hard reset my phone at least 8 times in the month I have had it has been looking up a lot lately. Had to soft reset about 7 times in one day recently. Not blaming it on the phone though as I figure it might be conflicting hacks that I might have installed recently. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

out of curiosity what is it sending?

I dont lock my screen and it is sending blank messages. On another note I might have to take a poll on how often do our phones lock up. It seems I am averagin at least 5 soft resets a day now. The phone just locked up two minutes after a soft reset. This is becoming really annoying.

The only reason I ask about the screen lock was because my phone would make calls and browse through a bunch of menus because of the case and my pocket interacting with the touchscreen.

this is a problem on sprints network it is not the phone it has did this to me on and off for a month i finally talked to a sprint network engineer he told me to go in phone settings set the phone to sprint network only delete all my contacts and textmessages
be sure to back up everything first then soft reset then restore everything i have been random text message free for two weeks

Thanks as I thought it might be a TP2 issue. Do you have a TP2 or do you still have the mogul? I noticed that the ones who are being randomly tested are the ones I text the most.

Is it just resending the same text messages from before or is it sending random stuff?

It is sending random empty messages. I know because people are responding there was nothing in that message.

Oh ok, well atleast it aint some off the wall crap that could piss off your wife or your friends. Back when I had first gotten my ppc6700, as soon as I had activated it I started getting all sorts of crazy text messages from I don't even know where. It was saying all kinds of crazy stuff and to make even worse my girlfriend at the time was sitting there next to me asking me all kinds of stuff like who was that and I had to explain to her that as soon as I activated it, it just started randomly. I got in big trouble with my girl for some random technical error, but after that first day it never happened again with that phone or any other phone I have had since then.
