Stop messages from popping up

Just wondering if theres an option(or cab) to stop my phone from displaying the entire text message when I receive them. Ive looked and havent seen anything yet.

Sure dude I will help you... Here is what you do:

Step 1: Touch your START button
Step 2: Touch your SETTINGS icon
Step 3: Touch your ALL SETTINGS soft key (bottom left)
Step 4: Touch your PERSONAL tab (bottom left)
Step 5: Touch your SOUNDS & NOTIFICATIONS icon
Step 6: Touch your NOTIFICATIONS tab (bottom of screen)
Step 7: (with stylus) Tap your Event drop down menu and select "Messaging: New text message"
Step 8: Uncheck the "Display message on screen check box

ALL DONE!

To do the same for e-mail just repeate step 7 w/ "Messaging: New e-mail message"
