Re: How to get iGo8 run on TP2 with TTS enable and 2009 NA Maps (step by step guide)

Google Map/Bing is not working that great on WM. Say you going N to S, then you have to flip your phone upside down. (Thats why Google wants you to buy Android then you can use the fancy stuff). The other is if you are in area with no data, then you cant use it.

Yes, I like iGo8 so much because there is nothing to install. Its portable. I like the speedcam feature of it. It make noises when you come to one.

I could not get the newest version of the program to work on the TP2.

Re: How to get iGo8 run on TP2 with TTS enable and 2009 NA Maps (step by step guide)

IGO8 works in my PRO2 for more than a year, but today when I start the IGO8, the update map screen comes out as normal, then the screen suddenly goes away, then nothing happens. The application won't start. I recently haven't install any new app on my phone. Anybody has the same problem as me? Any idea what's going on?

I also get weird messages often. Either reboot device or delete all the contents of SAVE folder worked for me. NOTE DELETING THE CONTENTS OF THE SAVE DIRECTORY WILL RESET THE IGO TO ORIGINAL SETTINGS AND YOU WILL LOOSE ANY PERSONAL SETTINGS MADE.

does this nav have house numbering??? does any 1 know of any nav that has it for outr tp2?
thanks for any help (started a delivery job and this would help out a lot.) most maps are wrong (google on phone or even my old outdated TT) and i have to take a guess so to speak and if its nite shift makes it that much harder to see house numbers on mailbox or house (if they even have one)

Good luck with that! It all depends on how accurate the maps are. My work location (when pinpointed on the map) is at least half of a block away from the location indicated by the "house" numbers on the map. IE: the physical location is 1011 xxxx, but on the map it shows the location around 1060 on the same street.

So, the map can indicate the range of house numbers in your location, but it may or may not be accurate.

I always save mirror copy of this sofware on my PC and the phone.

If all else fail, then you need to do a hard reset.

But this software is Portable though. You dont need to install anything.

Its too sad and too bad that this software is not coming to the WM7.

I really really like this GPS software!

I am leaving Microsoft device when the 3D comes out.
